Poetry and spring go together so perfectly – we’re loving the new student poems that arrived today, all about nature!
The poems (and their beautiful accompanying pastel illustrations) are the final product of a program featuring poet and artist Douglas Florian, which took place in two second grade classes at PS 46. The students combined their knowledge of flora from science class with a playfulness they learned from Doug and his book Poetrees; the resulting work is both creative and refreshingly fun.
